Fotona HairLASE FAQs
HairLASE® is ReGen Medical’s variation of the Fotona HAIRestart® treatment using proprietary laser technology to stimulate the stem cells in hair follicles to regrow hair.
HairLASE® works by using a special laser wavelength combined with a pulse mode called “SMOOTH” mode, exclusive to Fotona lasers. This SMOOTH mode gently stimulates the dormant stem cells in hair follicles to become active again, regrowing thicker hair.
A recently published study (see below) showed a 93% improvement in hair quality using the same proprietary technology used in HairLASE®.
The number of HairLASE® treatments needed will vary on multiple factors including the starting point of hair loss, any complicating medical conditions, and whether adjuvant treatments as necessary. Some patients will need maintenance treatments. A HairLASE® treatment program will be determined at the initial consultation.
HairLASE® is a very comfortable procedure with the Fotona SMOOTH mode gently warming the scalp skin to stimulate the dormant hair follicles to become active again.
HairLASE® is completely different from low level laser treatments for hair loss and utilizes a proprietary laser technology called SMOOTH mode which is only available on specific Fotona lasers.
